Becoming a member of a church is different than joining a club. First of all, the price is already paid. It is a privilege to be part of a body glued together by the common bond that Jesus Christ created by dying for each one of us. In addition, church membership is expected by God. His desire is that you would become a part of the work of the local church, using the gifts He has given you, and building the unity of the church.

1. Present yourself for membership during the invitation of any Worship Service. At the close of each Worship Service, our Pastor will extend an invitation for you to come forward. You will be greeted by him and he will guide you in your decision. We’ll never do anything to intentionally embarrass you. We’ll all celebrate your decision together.

2. Express your desire for membership through one of the following means:

•  By Profession of Faith: If you will receive Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and Lord and follow Him in baptism by immersion, we will welcome you into our fellowship.

•  By transfer of membership from another Baptist church: As a Baptist whose membership is elsewhere, should God direct you here we will be pleased to welcome you into our church family. We will take care of the appropriate details for the transferring of membership. You need only to present yourself for membership.

•  By statement of faith: If you know in your heart that you have a saving relationship with God through Jesus Christ and desire to be a member of Littleby Baptist, we will be happy to receive you. If your membership is currently in another denomination and you have not been baptized by immersion as a testimony of your salvation, we would expect you to be baptized in obedience to Christ before being added to our church family.
